Welcome to the speakeasy of Giuseppe’s career.

People who arrive here are often searching for inspiration, or are curious about the editor whose name keeps coming up in conversations with directors, creatives, and collaborators they trust.

Giuseppe is often described by others as passionate, a trait he’s carried with him since he was young. At 16, he emailed every commercial post house he could find, asking what it would take to become an editor. Out of all those emails, only one reply came back, from Mark Paiva, then Owner and Senior Editor at Posterboy, one of Canada’s top boutique editorial shops of the 2000s. Mark invited Giuseppe to the studio’s downtown Toronto office.

For Giuseppe, a teenager from the small town of Bolton, an hour away, simply getting there mattered. Unable to drive alone and without transit as an option, his mother Anna took a day off work to accompany her son to meet a stranger from the internet. That meeting with Mark and Partner and Executive Producer Michelle Rich would quietly shape everything that followed.

Giuseppe officially began his professional journey in television at TSN (The Sports Network). For someone who loved sports, the job felt like a dream. But it also clarified what he wanted long-term. The pull of commercial editorial, where craft, collaboration, and creative voice take centre stage, kept calling him back.

He later reached back out to his Posterboy contacts as the shop evolved into Saints. Giuseppe started again from the bottom, working his way from Intern to Assistant Editor and eventually Editor. As Saints grew into one of Canada’s premier boutique shops, he developed a refined sense of storytelling, rhythm, and taste, along with a collaborative approach shaped by working closely with directors, agencies, and producers at the highest level around the world.

Today, Giuseppe is a sought-after freelance editor trusted for his instincts, humour, precision, and ability to elevate work. His background in boutique editorial gives him a high standard for craft, while his freelance practice allows him to apply that same level of care and creative focus across teams, cities, and workflows. He brings the mindset of a tightly knit edit shop with the flexibility and responsiveness required by modern production, often helping projects find clarity and momentum when it matters most.

Whether embedded with an agency, partnering with a production company, or collaborating remotely with global teams, Giuseppe integrates seamlessly into existing processes and helps shape stories with confidence, trust, and intent. He believes the best work comes from great collaboration, and that shared ownership, taste, and experience are what ultimately push projects from good to unforgettable.

Post-production has become Giuseppe’s native language, one he speaks fluently, enthusiastically, and occasionally faster than anyone can keep up with. He continues to seek meaningful collaborations and creative challenges, always looking forward to the next speakeasy where he can raise a glass to his wins.

Or he might just be celebrating at the gym at seven in the morning, whichever comes first.
